Extended Day

Extended Day is an innovative before and after school program that gives students in grades K–5 a safe environment to balance learning and recreation through participation in a wide variety of fun, hands-on experiences. The program offers daily enrichment activities, physical activities, and an afternoon homework club with a certified teacher. All students will receive a free breakfast and afternoon meal.

Program Eligibility

Any student who attends Flagler Schools, or is a resident of Flagler County who attends a private school, in grades K–5, and is not older than 12 years of age, is eligible to enroll in Extended Day. Students will be admitted based on the appropriateness of the program. The student must display a need for, or benefit from, a supervised activity program.

Limited Space/Waitlists

Flagler Schools' Extended Day programs have limited space and waitlists are approved as space permits. Children must be enrolled in our weekly program to attend; walk-ins will not be accepted.

If it is determined by the Community Education Coordinator that your child creates an unsafe or undesirable situation for other students, themselves, or staff, the student will be immediately removed from the program.

School Year Program

The program opens at 6:45 am and runs until daily classes begin, resuming again after school and ending at 6:00 pm.
 

Summer Program

The program opens at 7:00 am and runs until daily classes begin, resuming again after summer school and ending at 6:00 pm. 
 
The program is not open on holidays, teacher work days, winter break, or spring break.

Registration

Registration can be scheduled in each school's cafeteria from 7:00–9:00 am or 3:30–6:00 pm. Online registration is available using the link below. The completed Extended Day Registration Form and annual registration fee are also required.

**Multi-Child Accounts: The oldest child is full price; there is a $10 discount per additional child in the immediate family (mother/father/guardian). If the oldest child is disenrolled from the program or has more than a three-week gap in attendance, the next oldest sibling will be charged full price.

Policies & Procedures

  • Fees are to be paid the first day of each week that your child attends.
  • Payments must be made by credit card, check, or money order. 
  • Summer School Extended Day fees must be paid with credit/debit cards only.
  • If checks are returned due to insufficient funds, all future payments must be made using a cashier's check or money order.
  • The second time your credit card is declined, you will be required to make all future payments with a money order.
  • Advance monthly payments can be arranged and are encouraged.
  • Delinquency of payment can result in the removal of your child from the program.
  • Absences are not credited; however, illness of one consecutive week or more may be credited.
  • No discounts, waivers, or exemptions.
  • The RevTrak "Parent Portal" allows families to view payments for tax purposes. 
  • Late fees will be charged for pickup after 6:00 pm
  • Repeated tardiness in picking up your child will result in the notification of the appropriate authorities and may result in removal from the program.
  • Changes to your child's registration require the submission of a Change of Registration Form. Only the person that signed the form may view or alter the form.
  • In case of emergencies, contact the Extended Day Site Manager at each school.
